A Lecture Of Understanding Gender In J&K

24/Mar/2017:A lecture on 'understanding gender in J&K' was organised in GDC billawar . the lecture was delivered by Prof. Rekha chowdhary . Principal of the college Suresh kumar sharma presided over the function and Prof amit sharma moderated the programme . Staff and students of the college attended the college . In this lecture Prof. Chowdhary talked about the distinction between sex and gender and explained the reasons for the inequality between man and women. She referred to the process by which masculinity and femininity are constructed. She also referred to the various process by which patriarchy is reproduced. The lecture was followed by a question- answer session in which a number of students participated. In the end , a moment was presented to Prof. chowdhary by principal of the college.
