Awareness Program About Myths And Realities Of EVM/VVPAT

Today on 7th March 2019, Govt. degree college, Billawar has organised an awareness campaign about “Myths & Realities of EVM/VVPAT†in the college premises for BA/BSc semester 4th . The function started with introduction by Prof. Jigmeet Stobden about voting system in India. Then Miss. Tanvi Gupta (Lect. Sociology) briefed about evolution of voting system & EVM/VVPAT. After this various students of B.A. /B.Sc. 4th Sem. Mr. Nitish Sharma, Miss Radhika & Bhavanika Khajuria explained the Myths & realities regarding EVM & VVPAT. Following this, our worthy principal, Prof. Jugal Kishore Sharma interacted with students and also awakened young minds about voting rights and its proper and certain utilization to choose better representatives.
Addressing all attendees, the convenor (Prof. Rakesh Kumar) and other SVEEP committee members Dr. Mohd. Maqeem, Mrs. Shakshi Vaid (Lect. Political Science), Dr. Sanjay Singh(Lect. Geography), Miss. Shailika Sharma(Lect. English), Mrs. Suman (Lect. Education) informed all the students about the real role of politics, voting system and election process. In the last, vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Shakshi Vaid.
