Government Degree College Billawar, CGPA 1.76 NAAC accredited in its first cycle is a well established institution which is imparting higher education in various diverse streams including Arts, Science, Commerce and BCA in the area. It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and included in section 2(f) and 12 (B) Act of 1956. The college was established in 2005 and as such owns better infrastructure both in academic and non-academic aspects. The college provides plenty opportunities and platform to the students to bring their all round personality development, carving creative potential and preparing them to become good citizen of this state and country. Today the role of College is not only to achieve academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students. It is our prime duty to provide them right kind of education that makes them responsible, logical, open minded and honest. The students have to be taught to shed complacency and make constructive contribution for the brighter tomorrow and a morally healthy society. The college has also been performing excellence in Sports, NSS and NCC. I joined this college in Jan 2021 with an intense desire to put this premier institution on track of exploring new vistas in learning and make it a vibrant, dedicated and work culture oriented institution. A sincere effort will be made to give vent to the feelings of students, their creative thoughts, writing skills, fiery imagination and future vision. In order to achieve the desired goals, a roadmap of mission, vision and objectives of Government Degree College Billawar has been prepared. Experienced and dedicated faculty of the college help you, not only in generating knowledge, acquiring skills and developing attitudes but try to make you a best human beings with meaningful living.
